VOCATIONAL SKILLS EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

About the project

Gift Women Link Foundation implemented the project in 2014 and 2015 in Kasese District, where

70 women and OVC were supported with vocational skills training for economic independence in areas of knitting, welding, carpentry, secretarial services, motor mechanics and tailoring and this was success together with Tools With A Mission (TWAM) UK.

The results in our community

- To reduce vulnerability and dependency among the young people by 40% in rural community of our project catchments.

- To advocate and mainstream vocational training skills with other trainings for women, youth and children.

​

- To reduce the problem of unemployment by 25% in women and the youths.

​

- To provide 40% of Counseling and Guidance services to orphan and youths on psychosocial and economic issues.
